The usual mistake with Dr. Elsey's is treating Cat Attract as the upgrade and Ultra as the budget version. On our bench they clump identically. Both scored 9.8 out of 10 on clumping, and in both drop tests 98 percent of a 50-clump sample came through whole. The herbal attractant is the only reason to pay the difference.
Ultra is the cleaner and cheaper of the two: 0.03mg of dust per pour against Cat Attract's 0.04mg, $20.99 a bag against $26.99, and $0.43 a day to run against $0.56. It also scored 9.4 on dust, the best reading of any bag in this brand. Cat Attract takes the higher overall score, 9.5 against 9.4, because it does one thing Ultra cannot.
That one thing is the reason Cat Attract exists. If your cat has stopped using the box, it is the bag to try first. If your cat uses the box happily, you are paying $6 more a bag for a feature you will never see work.

Ultra is slightly cleaner (0.03mg of dust per pour against 0.04mg) and cheaper ($20.99 against $26.99).
