World's Best is corn, and the pack says corn-based and flushable. The mistake buyers make is judging it against clay on price. At $29.99 a bag and $1.07 a pound it costs more than twice what a budget clay costs per pound, and it still earned 9.1 out of 10 overall, because of what it saves you everywhere else.
Tracking is the reason. It scored 9 out of 10 on tracking, against 6 or lower for every clay budget bag we tested. Clumping also scored 9, with 76 percent of a 50-clump sample surviving the drop test, which is unusual for a plant litter.
