Why is lightweight litter more expensive per pound?
Because you are buying air out of the grain. A pound of clay is dense rock; a pound of soy or paper is puffed up and covers more box. Does a lighter bag mean less litter in the box?
It means less weight, not always less volume. Light litters usually fill a box to the same depth as clay at a fraction of the mass, which is the point. What changes is how long a bag lasts, and we print weeks per bag on every card.
Is lightweight clay the same thing?
